EAST COWES BROWNIES CELEBRATE 100 YEARS.

Over 60 members of Girlguiding Isle of Wight paid a visit to Foxlease one of Girlguiding’s national training centres over a weekend recently.  Foxlease is based in the New Forest and is ideal for outdoor activities including campfires, camping, identifying trees and bird watching. Most units across the Island started regular meetings at the beginning of September. Several units have made use of special offers from local venues which offered reduced entrance rates for groups. MEMBERS AT BURMA STAR SERVICE.

Members of Girlguiding IW recently attended the annual BURMA STAR ASSOCIATION service at St. George’s Church Arreton. 100 YEARS OF SERVICE TO GIRLGUIDING.

With over 100 years of volunteer service between them three leaders of Girlguiding Isle of Wight have been presented with Long Service Awards. Girlguiding IW members have certainly been enjoying their meetings throughout this half-term. SHANKLIN BROWNIES VISIT AIRPORT & HELP CHARITY.

Shanklin Brownies have raised £100-00 for special chairs at the Mountbatten Hospice by helping out at home. This also helped towards their Charity Badge.
