SUMMER- IT’S OUT & ABOUT AGAIN.

Girlguiding IW members have certainly been enjoying their meetings throughout this half-term. Girls and leaders have been to lots of venues across the Isle of Wight with everyone having fun in the sun -well mainly sunny weather. Even on damp and colder evenings there was still fun to be had with many different activities.

Members have been out and about during the last half term and lots of badges have been gained. Carisbrooke Guides have had several outings including one to the Deer Park where the girls were able to see the deer up close and learn about how to care for deer. They also ventured to the beaches at Bembridge for rock pooling-finding some interesting creatures and to Appley Beach. An adventure to Amazon World made for more fun with wild animals.

East Cowes Brownies have been meeting with Northwood Brownies and enjoying some outside activities including a visit to Parkhurst Forest and games in the garden. Activities included making parachutes.

Other units have paid visits to the beach, local parks and recreation grounds and 11th Newport Guides held a campfire sing song with everyone enjoying the chance to sing together again.

11th Newport Rainbows visited Newtown, held a special camp and were excited about Roller Skating.

Shanklin Brownies visited Sandown Airport- see separate news item.

Once again let the pictures tell the stories:
