EMMA GAINS TRAINING QUALIFICATION

Emma Bryson from Gunville has recently gained a Training Qualification with Girlguiding. VOLUNTEER AWARDS FOR GIRLGUIDING IW LEADERS.

Two Volunteer leaders for Girlguiding Isle of Wight, with over 60 years- service between them, have been awarded Silver Oak Leaf Awards by Girlguiding’s South West England Region. FLORENCE HELPS BINSTEAD GUIDE UNIT.

For the first time since Lockdown 1 in March, Binstead Guides met face to face, at the beginning of November. REMEMBRANCE SUNDAY 2020.

With COVID 19 preventing the usual Remembrance Day church services and parades to War Memorials  across the Island, members of Girlguiding IW commemorated the day with stay at home silences, making cards, writing poems and  making other crafts. Excitingly, Girlguiding and BBC Children in Need are teaming up this year to raise money for good causes around the country. REGIONAL COMPASS AWARD FOR ISLE OF WIGHT GIRLGUIDING LEADER.

Bethany Wells (11) a member of 1st Carisbrooke (Princess Beatrice’s Own) Guide Unit has undertaken some environmental projects recently which have gained her a Girlguiding Campaign Badge and the coveted Blue Peter Badge.
