Red Funnel has launched three fixed Autumn saver fares for customers. From day trips to extended stays, travel for just £79 Short Stay Return (1-4 nights), £99 Extended Stay Return (5+ nights) and £59 Day Return with these special limited time rates.
Whether you’re planning a UK break or fancy a day trip to Southampton, now is the perfect time to book your off-Island travel. With the £79 Short Stay fixed fare, you’ll pay just £19.75pp return for four people travelling with a car to the mainland.
Choose from convenient morning and evening sailing times, whether you’re heading across for a day out or even two weeks away – Autumn saver fares are valid against travel taken until 3rdNovember 2025.
Fixed price £59 Day Return and £79 Short Stay saver fares valid for departures from either East Cowes (0630–1030 & 1730–23:59) or Southampton (0600–1000 & 1700–23:59) with an alternative £89 Short Stay fare available for sailings outside of those allocated. The £99 Extended fare is available on any sailing at any time during the offer period.
Red Funnel recently launched a book exchange initiative¸ just in time for National Read A Book Day on 6th September and ahead of the Isle of Wight Literary Festival which Red Funnel supports.
The idea came from one of the operator’s Hi-Speed Cabin Attendants, who pitched it through Red Funnel’s First-Class Ideas programme, which provides a space for Red Funnel team members to share ideas across all subjects.
For those keen to take a book from the Read Funnel Library but don’t have one to leave, customers are invited to make a small donation via collection tubs and contactless machines to support Red Funnel’s Charity of the Year, Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance. Red Funnel will especially welcome children’s books to keep young readers entertained on their journey. Books are available in Cowes and Southampton.
Red Funnel is also proud to announce a new partnership with Bluestar to extend its free bus connection service into Southampton City Centre, including direct access to Southampton Central Railway Station. This enhancement builds on the existing Quayconnect bus service, which currently operates from morning to early evening.
This extended service will continue into the evening hours via Bluestar’s Route 19 bus, with the nearest pick up and drop off point to Red Funnel being Town Quay Road, opposite the Platform Tavern. Customers can obtain free travel upon showing their valid, dated Red Funnel foot passenger ticket. Both Red Jet and vehicle ferry foot passenger tickets apply, as well as rail tickets inclusive of ferry travel.
As with the Quayconnect service, the free travel offer aboard the Bluestar 19 applies in both directions, including passengers heading to Red Funnel terminals with a valid ticket.
