Sandown Rainbows, 4th Sandown Brownies and Lake Guides joined together for World Thinking Day. The girls visited different World Centres to try food, crafts and games from that country.
These included Rangoli patterns, 3d peacocks, Origami Peacocks, Diya Paper Lamps, Ceramic Diya Lamps to decorate, Skiers, Paper Snowfights, Wordsearches, Peace Doves, Making London Skylines, Jenga, Thinking Day Cards and Friendship Bracelets. Foods were Cucumber Sandwiches, Victoria Sponge Cake, Samosas, Pakoras, Naan Bread, Swiss Cheese and Swiss Chocolate.
They had passports to take with them, to get stamped on their journey. The event finished with songs and a Candle Service. £70 was raised for the Thinking Day Fund by asking the girls to bring silver coins with them.
