Following the presentation of the High Sheriff’s Award to Girlguiding IW County Commissioner, Linda Stone, at the World Thinking Day event, the High Sheriff Graham Biss BEM JP made a visit to , the 1st Carisbrooke (Princess Beatrice Own) Guide Unit where Linda is the leader.
At the beginning of March, to enable the Guides to celebrate Linda’s Award the High Sheriff was pleased to visit the Unit. As well as joining in the Guides’ activities and explaining the role of a High Sheriff, he presented Molly Stone with the Guides’ Gold Award following her completion of challenges and various badges. This is the highest Award a Guide can achieve. Molly now plans to join Rangers to continue her Girlguiding adventure.
