KidZone 2017 is going to be jam-packed with fun and entertainment for all ages, so go to the IW Festival and party and show the kids a good time.
On the KidZone Stage this year the festival welcomes back the stars of Channel 5’s hugely popular pre-school strand Milkshake. Milkshake presenters Jen and Derek, together with their friend Milkshake Monkey will perform their successful Bop in the Park show. There’s also Noisy Oyster Theatre with their spectacular show “The DaSilva Marionette Circus Troupe”, physical theatre from stunt clown and mime-artist Wolly, amazing magician Huxley with his jam-packed Family Show, the incredible Mujishan Bubble Show, interactive dance with the Shademakers Carnival Club, storytelling with Sue Bailey and the kids themselves with the popular Kids Talent Show.
In the Craft Tent, kids can get busy make anything from recycled headdresses, mini top hats, masks, badges, lavender bags, flags and windmills, to their own set of circus poi. Daemon and Doppelganger show clay modelling, Festival Sticker Art has sticker creations, The New Carnival Company show costume making, and Forest Schools, using natural materials, are all running day long workshops so that children get a chance to make things from a wide variety of different materials, and take their creations home.
For more active entertainment, Ryde Extreme Performers will be running Circus workshops in juggling, poi, diabolo, plate-spinning, devil sticks and even stilt-walking.
Kids can get into the festival spirit with an outfit from the fabulous Kids Dressing Up Tent, or head off to the Face-Painting Tent for some festival style decoration, with tattoos, hair-braids and facepaints and then leap in front of the photo wall, grab a prop and strike a pose.
For little ones there’s a dedicated Toddler Tent where Creation Station will be running fabulous art and craft sessions, and Rhythm Time will be making music and singing songs. In the Chill Out tent there will be a little library, toys, story-telling with rugs and cushion to relax on.
