IW County Day.

Despite the force of storm Bert the Girlguiding IW County Day went ahead, although in a curtailed form. With ferry crossings cancelled, Trainers from other counties were unable to get to the Island and undertake their training sessions.

However, IW trainers and leaders stepped up to the mark and the 40+ leaders and young leaders who attended the event were not disappointed with the training sessions.

There was a variety of activities on offer including First Aid and Christmas crafts. One session enabled leaders to understand the importance of welcoming a new member and how to promote Girlguiding within the community.

Badges were on sale and there was the chance to catch up with friends from other areas as well as making new friends.
