The call is being made for walk leaders to step forward for the popular Isle of Wight Walking Festival as momentum for the 2020 event builds.
Visit Isle of Wight are hosting the Walking Festival between May 2 and May 17 next year, and are asking for walk leaders to get involved.
A love of the Isle of Wight and its wide variety of scenery are all that’s required to be part of this important event in the Island’s tourism calendar.
There are a variety of walks in the Isle of Wight Walking Festival and walks don’t have to be long treks, with leaders being encouraged to choose a route that highlights points of interest along the way or perhaps involve a shared hobby that people could chat about while walking.
Following the announcement in June this year, the Island’s status as a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve will provide an added interest to those taking part in the Isle of Wight Walking Festival.
