Guides and Rangers were joined by older Brownies at a Skills Day held at Corf Camp Site. Set in the Island’s countryside, but near the sea, this site offers camping areas and activity areas.
This event was planned by Girlguiding IW Outdoor Advisor Kerry Hiscock and saw girls from across the Island being able to join together and whilst learning and sharing new skills enjoying all the fun of the outdoors and making new friends.
Everyone had a great day at Corf Scout Camp with the Guides and Rangers and the older Brownie members too undertaking a number of skills.
Despite some rain the Brownies, Guides and Rangers had great fun building ladders, learning knots, making camp doughnuts, learning how to start fires safely and undertaking some crafts.
Following the activities one Guide made her Promise and a campfire sing song around a real camp-fire was enjoyed by all the girls attending and the leaders.
