Carisbrooke Rangers, from the Senior Section of Girlguiding IW, had a stand at the

IW Council’s Short Breaks Funday on Friday 24th July at Medina Leisure Centre.

Short Breaks work with children and young people with disabilities and additional needs.

Carisbrooke Rangers are a short breaks provider so organised a stand to promote Rangers and encourage new members. However, as well as informing members of the public about Rangers they also spoke to a number of potential Rainbows, Brownies and Guides or their parents or carers.

As part of the information given out, members of the public were given details of the Girlguiding IW website address (www.girlguidingisleofwight.co.uk) where new members can register using ‘Join Us’.

There was a good response from the Rangers who helped the Short Breaks team run different activities such as the bouncy castle, craft stall and walking a minion around the event as well as helping on the stand.
