CALLING ALL GIRLS AGED 7-10! ARRETON BROWNIES NEED YOU!

P1040915 (2)Girls aged 7-10 can now take part in a host of adventurous activities as there are vacancies at Arreton Brownie Unit. Although the unit meets at Arreton girls are welcome from other places where there are no Brownie units such as Rookley, Chillerton, Godshill and Merstone.
Members can look forward to trying their hand at exciting challenges such as visits to places of interest, games full of fun, special outings including sleepovers and making new friends.
At the moment the girls, already part of the group, are looking forward to a farm visit to see the lambs and an Easter Egg Hunt.
Unit leader Emily Hann said: “As well as welcoming new Brownies we would also welcome new leaders or helpers. Volunteering with Girlguiding enables you to play a part in giving girls and young women incredible experiences and self-confidence in a safe, girl-only space.
It’s really rewarding seeing the girls enjoy themselves and achieve things they may never have dreamed of, plus as a volunteer you can learn new skills and experience things you would not otherwise have the chance to do.”
To find out more about volunteering or if your daughter would like to join, please look for information posters in local schools.
