ACTS ANNOUNCED FOR 2015 IW FESTIVAL. THE STORY SO FAR…

Organisers of The Isle of Wight Festival, the first major festival of the summer, enjoyed the exciting announcement of Fleetwood Mac headlining on 14th June recently. The Prodigy, The Black Keys, Pharrell Williams and Paolo Nutini are also up for the 2015 event.

Now, organisers have announced a further 10 new additions to the 2015 line-up. Punk rock icon Billy Idol will be headlining the Big Top Stage on the Thursday, with Irish rockers Kodaline and US rock band Counting Crows also confirmed for the festival. As if that wasn’t enough, Surrey pop-punkers You Me At Six, Swedish sister duo First Aid Kit, Australian newcomers Sheppard, acclaimed pop singer-songwriter Jessie Ware flamboyant glam-rockers The Struts, the hotly tipped Jess Glynne and 80s R&B legends Kool & The Gang will also be playing over the weekend of 11-14 June at Seaclose Park, Newport.

Now in its 14th year the modern era IW Festival is one of the main events of the Island’s summer calendar, with its unique festival experience for music fans of all ages to enjoy. Offering 12 stages of live music over the weekend – including Main Stage, acoustic sets, DJ performances and up-and-coming talent – alongside a huge variety of additional entertainment and activities such as the Bohemian Woods, Intoxicated Tea Rooms and Hipshaker, to escape from everyday life for that one weekend in June, Summer starts at the legendary Isle of Wight Festival.
