Carisbrooke Rangers (part of Girlguiding’s Senior Section for young women aged 14-26yrs) took part in a fundraising bag pack with the kind support of Sainsbury’s supermarket recently.
This was a return visit to the Newport store for the Rangers who had packed customers’ bags for 2 hours about a year ago when they were rewarded for their efforts by raising £216.83. This year the sum was £208.35.
After this event the Rangers and leaders made a further visit to Sainsbury’s Newport for Carol singing just prior to Christmas.
Carla Chant the leader said “Many thanks to Sainsbury’s for their support. We will now be able to use these funds to help our unit undertake various activities to help develop our Rangers’ skills as they leave education and go into the wider community.”
