Red Jet update + car ferry new timetable.

Red Funnel was pleased to announce that it  reinstated its Hi-Speed Red Jet service, between Southampton and West Cowes, on a limited timetable, effective Monday 29 June.

Now, the Red Jet Hi-speed service will be doubled from this weekend, Saturday 25 July, with crossings every 1 hour 20 minutes running between 05:35 and 20:55.

The Red Jet service had been suspended since 18 April following reduction in demand and the need to maintain resilience within the Red Funnel operation as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic.

From Friday 24 July it is also a requirement to wear a face covering in RF terminals, in line with the latest rules surrounding use of face coverings in shops and supermarkets.

With many commuters returning to work, and visitors returning to the Isle of Wight to enjoy day trips, short breaks and holidays, RF are extending services to offer more space and greater convenience for those looking to cross the Solent.

The Vehicle Ferry timetable will change from 1 August 2020, returning to an hourly 3-boat service between 06:00 and 19:00, with additional sailings throughout the evening and overnight.
