22nd February is the annual celebration of the birthdays of the first World Chief Guide Lady Olave Baden-Powell (born 22/02/1889) and her husband Lord Robert Baden-Powell (born 22/02/1857) but on the Island the day will be celebrated this year on the 23rd.(Members should contact their unit leader for more information of this event.)
On World Thinking Day Rainbows, Brownies, Guides and Rangers speak out about issues which affect them and their local community, fundraise for causes they care about and learn about other countries.
This year’s World Thinking Day theme is ‘Putting equity and inclusion into practice and celebrating the diversity in our Movement’.
