WORLD THINKING DAY 2018-MAKING AN IMPACT.

Amanda- New Chief Guide.

Girlguiding Isle of Wight was pleased to announce, on February 22nd– World Thinking Day 2018, the launch of our new website. We hope it will make an Impact on everyone who sees it.

Created by the talented team at Solent Create this new site should help everyone to access Girlguiding information not only locally but nationally and with links to the World Association of Girlguides & Girlscouts (WAGGGS) Worldwide information too.

On this day also we welcomed into office the UK’s new Chief Guide, Amanda Medler. Good luck Amanda from all members on the Isle of Wight.

On 22 February, World Thinking Day, Girlguiding members and volunteers celebrated what it was to be part of a Worldwide Girlguiding experience. Every year World Thinking Day has a theme: this year that theme was Impact. We wanted to think about how all our actions have an impact, and how we can try to make that impact positive.

World Thinking Day – one of the most important days in our calendar. On one day of the year, our members and volunteers think about what it means to be part of a global movement and celebrate our 10 million sisters around the World. It is also a day for thinking about World issues and fundraising for the Girlguiding movement.

Happy World Thinking Day everyone and if you are not a member but would like to be see this new website for details of how to join or volunteer.
