NEWPORT BROWNIE HELPS CHARITY.

Summer-Daisy Cox (7) a Brownie with the 11th Newport Unit has had her very long hair cut off and it will be sent to the Little Princess Trust which provides real hair wigs to children and young people with hair loss and funds vital research into childhood cancer.

11 inches of hair was cut off by Kati of Allsorts Hair Salon, which is based on Pyle street, Newport.

Summer-Daisy was undertaking her Charities Badge for Brownies.
For this badge Summer-Daisy had to find out what the charity does and promote it. For this clause Summer-Daisy made a poster. For the Support section of the badge she thought about the ways in which she could help the charity and came up with the hair- cut and hair donation.
She also wrote a lovely letter saying that she hopes her hair will put a smile on a little girl’s face. This letter will be to put in with the hair when it is posted off to the charity.
