ISLAND RAINBOWS AND BROWNIES CELEBRATE BURNS NIGHT

Rainbows and Brownies from Sandown and Brighstone decided to celebrate Burns Night in style with evenings of everything Scottish.

Learning Scottish Country dancing with IW Caledonian Society member Judy Valvona was a great hit with all the girls and Judy also showed them other items relating to Scotland.

At Sandown the Brownies designed new tartans and enjoyed Shortbread whilst at Brighstone the Brownies made and cooked Scottish Oat Cakes.

Burns Night is celebrated on or near the 25th January each year the Birthday of, and in remembrance of Scottish poet Robert Burns.

Although there was no haggis or whisky involved all the girls enjoyed fun packed events.
