2018 is the Start of an Exciting Journey to make our Girlguiding Programme even better!
All leaders and Young Leaders are invited to this Training Day to find out more about the New Programme.
We are holding 2 information sessions at the Riverside Centre Newport
On Saturday 12th May 2018
There will be 2 taster sessions on what I need to know about delivering the new Programme’.
10.30 – 12.30 or 2 – 4pm.
Any members of the public who may be interested in volunteering with Girlguiding IW are welcome to attend the above sessions but due to places available any interest must be notified by using the ‘Contact Us’ tab on this website.
The following themes will run all the way through the New Programme from Rainbows right up to the new 14–18 section:
Know myself – Girls getting to know who they are, and their role in Girlguiding and the wider world. This is where our Promise sits.
Express myself – Girls showing off their creative side.
Be well – Physical and mental well-being for girls. Helping girls look after themselves and others.
Have adventures – Girls exploring the outdoors and nature.
Take action – Empowering girls to make a difference and use their voice to help their local community and the wider world.
Skills for my future – Providing the building blocks for girls to become independent and successful in life.
