BIG GIG 2016

In July well over 100 members of Girlguiding IW travelled to The SSE Arena, Wembley, London for the latest edition of Girlguiding’s Big Gig. BROWNIES HELP EBOLA ORPHANS

Brownies from the 10th Newport unit have once again helped children in Africa. In the spring they undertook various challenges and raised around £58 for the Clean Water Programme in Africa. Several units of Rainbows, Brownies and Guides celebrated HM The Queen’s 90th Birthday during June. Official UK wide celebrations took place over the weekend of 11th and 12th of June with the Queen’s annual Birthday parade and Trooping of the Colour taking place on the Saturday in London. 11th Newport Guides & 10th Newport Brownies

11th Newport Guides recently visited the Donkey Sanctuary at Wroxall. Whilst there they groomed the donkeys, prepared bedding and were shown food preparation before feeding the donkeys.
