LORD LIEUTENANT ENDORSES DUKE OF EDINBURGH AWARDS.

A record number of 59 young people from the Island achieved their Duke of Edinburgh’s Awards in 2016. There were five Gold Award recipients, eleven reaching Silver Award level and 43 achieving Bronze. COOK-OFF AT GURNARD.

1st Gurnard Guides had a minimal cook ‘Cook-Off’ competition in the week prior to breaking up for Christmas, their 2nd such event.  All Guides were invited to team up with an adult (parent/known adult) to cook and present a dish of their choice that could be prepared and presented within 90 minutes.
