After making a study of the life cycle of a butterfly and learning about the butterfly habitats Rainbows and Brownies from Northwood have gained a special Butterfly Badge.
Following their studies all the girls and their leaders made a visit to Butterfly World at Wootton where they were told more about these fascinating creatures.
As well as seeing the many coloured butterflies and viewing the unusual plants where the butterflies live the girls enjoyed a visit to Fountain World which forms another part of this tourist attraction which offers butterflies, fountains, Koi ponds, and Italian and Japanese gardens.
After viewing the Koi ponds all the girls had the chance to hand feed the brightly coloured Koi.
At the end of the visit, which was organised by Brownie leader Jane Peakall, the girls had fun getting very wet in the special effects water garden.
