Several Awards were presented at the Girlguiding IW County Event which was held in Sandown recently.
Presentation of Awards were made by Shirley Saunders and Lesley Clifford the joint Island Commissioners.
Section Commissioner badges were presented to two newly appointed Rainbow Section Commissioners: Donna Sanders (Needles) & Rose Walls (Puckpool)
Long services awards went to:
20year service bar Rachael Woodford 1st Carisbrooke Brownies.
30year service bar Lynda Rogers 1st Bembridge Rainbows.
Thank you Badge to Linda Smallwood Unit Helper with 2nd Northwood Brownies for over 30 years.
Island Award : Katie Charlton for work as a Section Commissioner and promoting County Events
Good Service Award: Helen Watson (1st Cowes Rainbows) for starting 1st Cowes Rainbows and still running the Unit for over 20 years. Also working with 3 other Units.
Good Service Award : Ann-Marie Kitcher Rainbow Leader with 2 Units and Section Commissioner (Puckpool)
Island Young Persons Award: Molly 1st Ventnor Guides for putting her mother into Recovery Position and calling for help when her mother had a seizure.
A 30 year service bar was also presented to Lesley Clifford Island Commissioner by County President Patricia Partridge.
