11th Newport Guides & 10th Newport Brownies

Donkeys

11th Newport Guides recently visited the Donkey Sanctuary at Wroxall. Whilst there they groomed the donkeys, prepared bedding and were shown food preparation before feeding the donkeys.

They have also now, for a year, adopted Twiggy one of the older donkeys.
A great time was had by all and Janet Corbett Guider said,” All thanks go out to the sanctuary staff who were extremely welcoming and informative.”
In addition to their visit to Wroxall the Guides have donated two blue planters, complete with flowers, to St. John’s Church garden whilst 10th Newport Brownies have decorated a water butt for the garden.

Decorating the water butt formed part of the Region H2O Challenge.
Both 11th Newport Guides and 10th Newport Brownies are now part of the St. John’s Church community.
